Taking place October 23–25 in Nashville, TN, this two-and-a-half-day convening gathers LGBTQ+ advocates, artists, and allies from across the country to imagine and advance a more just and inclusive future across schools, faith institutions, communities, and beyond.
Why Canvas for Change?
We chose the name Canvas for Change: Convening LGBTQ+ Advocates, Artists, and Allies with intention. At a time when Black LGBTQ+ communities are under unprecedented attack, we refuse to surrender our imagination. In the face of erasure, criminalization, and political violence, Canvas for Change is a declaration: we will still dare to dream of new worlds.
Who is Canvas for Change for?
Canvas for Change: Convening LGBTQ+ Advocates, Artists, and Allies is for LGBTQ+ advocates, artists, allies, and angelic troublemakers committed to imagining news world that are capacious enough to hold our collective dynamism. If you think it is for you, it is! If you are not sure, take a chance, we promise it will be worth it.
Do I have to be an artist?
You don’t have to be an artist in the traditional sense—at Canvas for Change, we see every attendee as an artist-in-residence, whether your medium is policy, preaching, movement, or community care.
